We're excited to bring you a full day of Derby-themed festivities in partnership with the Kentucky Derby Festival and Churchill Downs. Join us for the 2nd Annual Derby in December at the Kentucky Derby Museum!
This fall, Kentucky Derby Museum proudly launches its Legends Series event with a Salute to Veterans, celebrating veteran-owned distilleries. This event is a special tribute to those who have served our country and continues the museum's tradition of honoring legendary innovators and leaders in the bourbon industry.
Equipped with immersive technology, this new exhibit is a time capsule that takes visitors through decades of Kentucky Derby® fashion, reaching as far back as the 1860s.
We look forward to welcoming FFA Groups from all across the country, as group and individual tours are now available for booking.
Only on the Backside can you experience breathtaking views of the Twin Spires and see the iconic horse barns up close. Go behind the scenes where Thoroughbreds are stabled and the active community of workers are in their element hot walking, grooming, and training the fastest horses in the country.
The exhibit underwent a $1 million upgrade to include cutting-edge technology for the immersive jockey simulator, allowing guests to experience what it's like to ride in the Derby.

Came to the Kentucky Derby Museum on a whim, ended up having an amazing time! Johnny Bourbon behind the bar was a real gem! He made the made the museum experience exceptional for both the kids and big kids alike. Everyone working at the museum was awesome.
