Unreachable Star
Kentucky Derby Museum welcomed our new Resident Thoroughbred today, 2009 Indiana Horse of the Year, Unreachable Star! The 12-year old gelding, nicknamed “Starman”, made his way from Deerfield Farm in Prospect, Kentucky to meet his new stable mate, Winston in the Museum’s back stable on February 24th. Unreachable Star is the all-time money-winning Indiana-bred racehorse with $784,595 in earnings. He retired from racing at age 10, because of a soft tissue injury to his left front leg.
You can read more about him here.
Watch him race at Churchill Downs in 2009 with Calvin Borel on board!
