Twinspired Returns
The Kentucky Derby Museum welcomed back Twinspired as our Resident Thoroughbred! The gray stallion was foaled in April 16, 2008 in Kentucky and stands 16.3 hands tall! This is his third stay at the Museum as our Resident Thoroughbred.
Twinspired finished 17th in the 2011 Kentucky Derby with jockey Mike Smith aboard. He’s owned by Alpha Stables, Skychai Racing LLC, and Sand Dollar Stable LLC. He was a Multiple Graded Stakes Place and Stakes Winner with a total of $353,518 in earnings over his racing career.
Our previous Resident Thoroughbred, Unreachable Star, headed home to Deerfield Farm in Prospect, Kentucky. He was with the Museum since late February of 2016. Many of our visitors enjoyed getting to meet the all-time money-winning Indiana-bred race horse.
When you stop by the Museum, make sure you visit Twinspired and Winston in our back garden stables! Learn more about our resident horses.
