Kentucky Derby Museum Tours
The Kentucky Derby is officially right around the corner! To celebrate, the Kentucky Derby Museum is opening two of their favorite tours the museum has to offer.
The Barn and Backside Van Tour is open to museum guests once again! This exclusive tour takes you to areas of the Backside that are closed off to the general public. Come see the Thoroughbreds in their environment and watch the horses in training! More than 1,400 stalls that are mostly full during peak season will be shown and guests can learn exclusively about life at the track.
Hurry in to get your ticket to this exclusive tour! Tickets are only $15 in addition to your museum general admission.
If you are interested in an even more behind the scenes experience, check out our Around the Track Golf Cart Tour! This tour takes you from the grandstand to the backside, and everywhere in between.
Starting your tour at the outside grounds, you travel through the Paddock and into a morning rail side workout session. After that you go through the famous infield tunnels into the backside to get a close and personal view of the horses, jockeys and trainers. If that wasn’t enough, you will see the barns that were once home to Thoroughbred legends such as Secretariat, Barbaro and American Pharaoh.
After your backside experience, the tour continues with lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch you return the Kentucky Derby Museum to enjoy the rest of the museum’s exhibits!
This four hour tour is $99 per person and includes lunch and museum admission. The price will increase during Derby season.
Both of these tours are opportunities of a lifetime, so hurry into the Kentucky Derby Museum and schedule your tour today!
