Join the Kentucky Derby Museum & Churchill Downs Racetrack for “The Works” Tour & Breakfast, a full morning of unique opportunities! Offered Friday, May 20 and Friday, June 10 beginning at 8:30 a.m.
Guests of this tour will meet in the Kentucky Derby Museum's lobby at 8:30 a.m., then head to Wicker Garden, located above Section 327 at Churchill Downs Racetrack to watch the horses as they go through their morning workout. Over a light breakfast, a tour guide will discuss the action on the track, including the ins and outs of training Thoroughbreds as well as handicapping the races.
Guests will then return to the Museum to take in two-floors of interactive exhibits and see "The Greatest Race" between 10-10:45 a.m. whereafter guests will experience an exclusive Barbaro "Inside the Vault" tour with the Museum’s curatorial team at 10:45-11:30 a.m. in honor of Barbaro's 10th anniversary.
The price of "The Works" Tour & Breakfast also includes admission to a day of live racing at Churchill Downs Racetrack, with general admission or box seat options. Churchill Downs Racetrack opens gates at 11:30 a.m. First post time for races is at 12:45 p.m.
