Presenting Kentucky Derby Museum & Churchill Downs Racetrack “The Works” Tour & Breakfast, a full morning of unique opportunities! Taking place September 16 and November 25.
"The Works" Tour & Breakfast schedule:
8:30 a.m.: Guests of this tour will meet in the Kentucky Derby Museum’s lobby, then head to Churchill Downs Racetrack to watch the horses as they go through their morning workout. Over a light breakfast provided, a tour guide will discuss the action on the track, including the ins and outs of training Thoroughbreds as well as handicapping the races.
10:00 a.m.: Guests will then return to the Museum to take in two-floors of interactive exhibits and see “The Greatest Race.”
10:45 a.m.: Guests will experience an exclusive Barbaro “Inside the Vault” tour with the Museum’s curatorial team in honor of the 10th anniversary of Barbaro’s Kentucky Derby win. “Inside the Vault” will bring guests up close to view rare artifacts, valuable trinkets, and treasures not currently on display.
*11:30 a.m.: Tickets also include admission to a day of live racing at Churchill Downs Racetrack, with general admission or box seat options. Churchill Downs Racetrack opens gates at 11:30 a.m. First post time for races is at 12:45 p.m.
*September 16: Gates open at 11:30 a.m., first post time for races at 12:45 p.m.;
November 25: Gates open at 12 p.m., first post time for races at 1 p.m.
