THE KENTUCKY DERBY MEETS THE EPSOM DERBY
Join us for the Kentucky Derby Museum's first-ever Biscuits & Bourbon brunch, the perfect way to kick-off a day at the races Derby week! Guests will enjoy Southern flare with a nod to the British inspiration for the Kentucky Derby at the Museum on Wednesday, May 3rd from 11am-2pm.
At the bar, delight in Kentucky bourbon flights, mimosa and Bloody Marys from Holloway Farm's "Bloody Kentucky." Then fill your plate with delicious brunch favorites, including a Southern and English-style Biscuit Bar where you can select a variety of toppings all while enjoying live music from Kentucky's straight acoustic music, Mashbill Music.
Celebrating the same theme as this year's Woodford Reserve's $1000 Mint Julep program, which connects the history, tradition and inspiration of England's Epsom Derby to the Kentucky Derby, Woodford Reserve Global Ambassador Tom Vernon will be on hand for drink demonstrations, a fun panel discussion and more!
The Kentucky Derby Museum is the proud designated charity for the net proceeds of this year's $1000 Mint Julep program. Guests will be able to enjoy Vernon handcraft this year's one-of-a-kind British-inspired Mint Julep recipe which is created with distinctive ingredients in the specially designed Mint Julep cups.
Hosts of the Louisville Convention and Visitors Bureau's own "Bourbon and Biscuits" online cooking show will also be on hand, showcasing authentic Kentucky recipes, samples and giveaways!
