LOUISVILLE, KY. – Looking for a unique gift for the bourbon lover this year? The Kentucky Derby Museum’s Legend Series is just the thing! Everyone, from bourbon expert to novice, will enjoy this intimate, educational experience. The three-part tasting series features rare bourbon collections and the masterminds behind them. Each special evening is hosted by the Museum’s own Bourbon Authority, Fred Minnick, in the Museum’s Great Hall and includes tastings, appetizers and a question and answer session with featured bourbon masters.

The Legends Series kicks off on Thursday, February 25 with Whiskey Women featuring Marianne Barnes, Kentucky’s first female Master Distiller at the Historic Site of the Old Taylor Distillery, Pamela Heilmann, Michter’s Distiller and Vice President of Production, Andrea Wilson, General Manager for Michter’s and Victoria MacRae-Samuels, Vice President of Operations at Maker’s Mark Distillery. The second event on Tuesday, March 22 features Heaven Hill Distilleries President Max Shapira. The final event on Thursday, April 14 features Julian Van Winkle, III, President, Old Rip Van Winkle Distillery.

Through the end of December, a package special is available for the entire three-part series for $150. Package will increase January 1, 2016 so don’t wait!
