Kindergarten Countdown at the
Kentucky Derby Museum
Saturday, July 11th
9:30 A.M. - 2:00 P.M.
If your child will attend Kindergarten in Jefferson County this year, bring them for a free visit to the Kentucky Derby Museum!
Arrive at 9:30 A.M. and watch the horses during morning workout at the track. Then, join our Museum staff for a special program about horses at 10:00 or make a craft. Story hour and snacks hosted by the museum’s education department begins at 11 A.M. The exhibits will be open to all of our guests and the kids will get to catch a showing of our feature film, "The Greatest Race".
Kindergartners wearing "I am going to Kindergarten" T-shirts are admitted free along with one parent or guardian. T-shirts are available free at all Louisville Free Public Library branches. (A limited quantity of t-shirts will be available on the 11th here at the Museum.) Additional parents and children are welcome to attend for regular admission prices.
JCPS staff will also be on hand to answer questions and hand out school calendars.
