Friday, June 17th, the connections from Team Valor and Graham Motion’s training team came to view the updates made to the Derby Museum in celebration of Animal Kingdom’s historic win.
The Animal Kingdom team is celebrated in the front lobby of the Museum with huge wall graphics and a video presentation. This year’s race has been added to the Museum’s Time Machine exhibit and the horse in the winner’s circle now represents Animal Kingdom, complete with a jockey dressed in Team Valor silks. The Museum’s feature film, “The Greatest Race,” has also been updated with Animal Kingdom’s Derby race.
Executive Director, Lynn Ashton introduced Team Valor founder and CEO Barry Irwin and trainer Graham Motion to a room full of Museum members. A presentation of donations followed from Barry Irwin and Team Valor including apparel, silks of Team Valor International, Animal Kingdom's blinkers and other assorted memorabilia.
