J.D. Shelburne It's my Derby exhibit update
Nashville recording artist, J. D. Shelburne, attended numerous events during the 2014 Kentucky Derby week. He performed at the Julep Ball in a bright red jacket with a woven rose pattern and at the Festival Celebrity Luncheon he wore a brilliant blue coat with jeans. Both looks featuring his signature snakeskin boots. His best look of the week came on Derby day when the country-rocker donned a white sports coat he designed himself with embellishments of embroidered roses and rhinestones! Underneath was an all black pair of jeans and matching button down shirt. A studded belt with an eagle belt buckle, a pair of sunglasses and red alligator boots finished off the look.
We love the country flair and nod of Derby tradition he had in his Derby Day attire. So much so that we asked him to loan his look to our "It's my Derby" exhibit. Come see the fashion and hats that make up Derby day and listen to stories from around the track in 2014. Just one of many exhibits updated to celebrate Kentucky Derby 140!
