Enjoy a day-long, exclusive Man o’ War experience to learn more about the legacy and legend of this famous Thoroughbred! Your day begins at the Kentucky Derby Museum, where you’ll head out to watch morning workouts at Churchill Downs Racetrack. Next, take in the Museum’s signature exhibit, The Greatest Race, a one-of-a-kind 360° movie. Then head upstairs for a private gallery tour of the temporary exhibit, Man o’ War: The Legacy lead by Ken Grayson, the collector who lent many of his rare Man o’ War artifacts for the exhibit, as well as the Museum’s own collections experts.
You’ll spend more time exploring Museum’s two floors of interactive exhibits before enjoying an optional lunch in the Derby Café and departing for Mt. Brilliant Farm, with access to Faraway Farm, for the afternoon. Visit Man o’ War’s fully-renovated barn, which includes memorabilia from this beloved champion. Nearby paddocks feature the future hopefuls of the Mt. Brilliant team's nursery. The guided tour also features a drive through the scenic farmland property of Faraway and Mt. Brilliant. 8:00 A.M. – Check in to the Kentucky Derby Museum
8:30 A.M. – Morning Workouts at Churchill Downs Racetrack
9:10 A.M. – Viewing of “The Greatest Race”
9:30 A.M. – Private Gallery Tour inside the Museum’s Man o’ War temporary exhibit guided by collector Ken Grayson as well as exhibit and collections experts
10:00 A.M. – Explore 2 floors of the Museum during self-guided exhibit time
11:00 A.M. – Optional lunch at the Derby Café (not included in ticket price)
12:00 P.M. – Depart for Mt. Brilliant Farm (transportation included)
1:15 P.M. – Arrive at Mt. Brilliant and Faraway Farm including a visit to Man o’ War’s Barn
2:15 P.M. – Depart Mt. Brilliant for return to the Kentucky Derby Museum
