Kentucky Derby Museum ready to welcome more than 18,000 visitors during the
2015 National Future Farmers of America Convention
Museum to open early to accommodate FFA convention attendees
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Oct. 26, 2015) – The Kentucky Derby Museum is ready to welcome thousands of visitors coming to Louisville for the 2015 National Future Farmers of America Convention this week. At least 18,000 convention attendees are expected to visit the Museum to experience the sights and sounds of the Kentucky Derby and tour historic Churchill Downs. Traditionally, the Museum’s largest attendance day of the year is Friday during the National FFA convention.
“We are excited to welcome the National FFA Convention attendees to the Kentucky Derby Museum,” Kentucky Derby Museum President Patrick Armstrong said. “We look forward to showcasing the exciting exhibits and tours we offer and hope to engage, educate and excite these young leaders about the unique and thrilling experience that is the Kentucky Derby.”
To accommodate the extra flow of visitors, the Museum will be open Wednesday, Oct. 28 through Saturday, Oct. 31 from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday, Nov. 1 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. General Admission for these days will be $10.
